It's starting with muggles. But there's been whispers of deeper hatred for muggleborns and halfbloods. Anyone who is not of pure wizarding blood is now considered a target. Entire families have gone into hiding. The ministry is holding their own against the Dark Lord and his followers. For now, the wizarding world in Britain is somewhat safe.
But no one roams around alone. Wizards and witches travel to and fro in small, huddled groups and retire to the relative safety of their homes as fast as possible. Meanwhile, the students of Hogwarts are about to return to Hogwarts for another year at the school. They are safe; Hogwarts is untouchable while Albus Dumbledore serves as its Headmaster.
